The 27th Annual Houston Children’s Charity Gala, held at the Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston, achieved a historic milestone by raising a record-setting $6.2 million to support the city’s underserved children.
The evening featured a “Saturday at the Park” theme where guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner, live entertainment by the legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band CHICAGO, and a high-energy auction. Notable moments included a surprise appearance by Andre Johnson as well as Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, whose donation of two bottles of his signature champagne helped raise $500,000. Additionally, 30 wheelchair-accessible vans were donated to the Chariots for Children program, inspiring further generosity from attendees.
The funds raised directly benefit programs aimed at improving the quality of life for Greater Houston’s underprivileged, abused, and disabled children.
Chaired by President and CEO Laura Ward, the event celebrated the charity's ongoing mission to leave no child behind, with emotional testimonies and highlights of the organization's impact over the past year. With Chairman of the Board Tilman Fertitta once again serving as a key supporter, the gala reaffirmed Houston's unwavering commitment to lifting up its youngest residents - one child at a time.
